Létezni azt jelenti, hogy az idő minden apró részében egyenként, vagyis egészében, folyamatában áradni. Amikor még él a szerettünk, erre nem gondolunk külön. Ez valahogy csak akkor jut eszünkbe, amikor már nincs.
Amikor már nem lehet őt elképzelni ebben a pulzálásban. El lehet, persze, de ez csak emlékidézés. A valóság az, hogy ő most sehol nem pulzál. Nem szívja tele a beteg tüdejét sem friss hegyi, sem kórtermi levegővel, és az irtózatosan kedves műszempillája nem követi le a szemhéja mozgását, mert már nincs neki szemhéja, és a műszempillája is elporladt. Egy porcelán tégelyben van mindez, mozdulatlanul. Aki ezt felfogja anélkül, hogy megőrülne, az filozófus, vagy szent.

While the Fountain of Tears bubbles before him, Giray, khan of the Tatars, is lost in brooding. Just as the flow from the marble fount cannot be exhausted, his own sorrow will never diminish, either. The story of the Fountain of Bakhchisarai is set in motion by a romance recounting the reason for the khan's gloom.
A 60-minute tour starts every day at 13:30, 15:00 and 16:30 in English.
