Mrozek darabjában azonban a szülők és nagyszülők generációja képviseli a szabadosságot, az ő tangójuk volt a lázadás, ők váltogatják szeretőiket, és a gyermekek generációja fordul szembe mindezzel, ők képviselik a forradalmi konzervativizmust. Két kultúra összecsap, közben befut a nevető harmadik a kultúrán túlról.
