A színpadra kerülő mese Süsü első történetének előadása, mely tartalmazza az összes epizód dalait, slágereit, és igazi Bergendy slágerek is helyet kapnak. Az előadásban élő szereplők, óriásbábok és kisbábok játszanak, ez utóbbiak akár a "Muppet show"-ban, igazi bábshowt idéznek meg a kisebb és nagyobb nézők szeme elé. A bájos mese mélyén egy fontos és ma is erősen aktuális figyelmeztetés rejlik, hogy, aki nem olyan, mint én, hanem más, az nem biztos, hogy ellenséges, sőt, az sem biztos, hogy más, mint én. Ezt a fontos üzenetet már gyerekkorban érdemes elkezdeni megértetni.

A century ago, the world first encountered this remarkable opus, a work that soon became one of the cornerstones of twentieth-century musical innovation. Premiered in 1926, the singspiel is a milestone in Hungarian music history: its composer, Zoltán Kodály, fulfilled his aspiration to elevate Hungarian folk song of ancient origin to the same status as classical music, by virtue of its equivalent values, placing it on the stage of the nation’s Opera House.
Diana Damrau, named Singer of the Year numerous times by leading international journals and competitions, was inspired to pursue an operatic career by Franco Zeffirelli’s 1983 film adaptation of La traviata.
