1958, nyara – Éktelen drága gyémántot hoznak a Minneapolis City Bankba. Egy notórius fegyenc megszökteti magát, hogy lecsapjon a kőre, közben beszáll mellé a kretén haverja, a szélhámos csaja, meg egy... karbantartó.
