Különc embercsoportot alkotva, a szellemi táplálék fensőbbségét hirdetik - ám gyakran azoknak, akik szívesen ennének kenyeret. E darab hőseit is a művészet, a tudomány ügyei kötik le, a világ jobbításáról vitáznak, az egész emberiséget akarják boldogítani - közben kusza szerelmi viszonyaikban vergődve, éppenséggel nem sok jót tesznek a közvetlen közelükben élőkkel. Bizarr helyzetek, félreértések sora vezet a józanodásig...
Makszim Gorkij 1904 és 1906 között írta úgynevezett értelmiségi trilógiáját (Nyaralók, A nap gyermekei, Barbárok). E trilógia középső darabját az A nap gyermekei-t Európa számos, rangos színházában játsszák napjainkban. Színházunk a darab átdolgozott változatát mutatja be.

While the Fountain of Tears bubbles before him, Giray, khan of the Tatars, is lost in brooding. Just as the flow from the marble fount cannot be exhausted, his own sorrow will never diminish, either. The story of the Fountain of Bakhchisarai is set in motion by a romance recounting the reason for the khan's gloom.
Please note that the auditorium is closed for visits during rehearsals. Guided tours are not available during performances. For selected tour times, tickets are also available with the PreOpera Menu package. In addition to the guided tour of the Opera House, this option includes a themed set menu of your choice at OperaBistro, which can be enjoyed either before or after the tour.
