Among the premieres of the Christian Season will be the Hungarian National Ballet’s brand-new show depicting the world of Christian rituals of North and South America, which are quite different from Europe’s. László Velekei, artistic director of the Ballet Company of Győr, and Balázs Vincze, director of the Ballet Company of Pécs, are creating two choreographies for the church music – pulsing with Latin energy and full of sunshine – of Ariel Ramírez. The third piece will evoke the atmosphere of North American gospel and rap with the choreography of Karina Sarkissova, with the involvement of the Opera BigB®and and other Hungarian artists like Orsi Kozma, Gabriella Jónás, Tibes and the Animal Cannibals.
