Hat színész hat különböző helyszínen ugyanazt a történetet meséli ugyanarról a rejtélyes alakról. Anyegin kényes úrifiú és szabadelvű különc, felvilágosult földbirtokos és semmittevő értelmiségi, az orosz provinciák foglya és nyughatatlan világpolgár, a társaság kedvence és flegma mizantrópja, életunt lázadó és szenvedélyes remete, gátlástalan csábító és szenvedő szerelmes.
