A Zempléni Fesztivál keretében minden idők egyik legismertebb zenekarának több mint harminc slágere, többek között a Waterloo, a Mamma Mia, az S.O.S., a Money, money, money, a Dancing Queen dallamai csendülnek fel új, szimfonikus hangszerelésben, melyet különleges látványvilág tesz még teljesebbé. A szimfónia négy tételben foglalja össze az ABBA életútját: „Kezdetek”, „Szerelem és szakítás”, „Scherzo” és „ABBA Forever”.
A látványos, egész estés show-műsorban közreműködnek a Singer Street szólistái, a Coincidance táncegyüttes, a Budapesti Akadémiai Kórustársaság 150 fős kórusa és a Budafoki Dohnányi Zenekar. Az est karmestere, a fesztivál művészeti vezetője: Hollerung Gábor.

A century ago, the world first encountered this remarkable opus, a work that soon became one of the cornerstones of twentieth-century musical innovation. Premiered in 1926, the singspiel is a milestone in Hungarian music history: its composer, Zoltán Kodály, fulfilled his aspiration to elevate Hungarian folk song of ancient origin to the same status as classical music, by virtue of its equivalent values, placing it on the stage of the nation’s Opera House.
For the 14th time, the performance of the famous Symphony No. 9 will dominate the OPERA’s New Year celebrations. In 2027, the programme will be completed by two further classical works: Beethoven’s overture, also enhanced by Mahler, and a cello concerto by Haydn, the latter of course featuring an OPERA soloist.
