1992-ben Rossini: A Sevillai borbély című vígoperája volt az utolsó nyári előadás a Szentendrei Teátrum legendás éveinek helyszínén: a város Fő terén. Kerényi Miklós Gábor rendezésében, Székely László díszleteiben – többek között Gregor Józseffel a színpadon – mutatták be az operát. Huszonöt évvel később a város most vissza szeretné állítani a régi hagyományt. Az idei nyár egyik nagy szenzációjának ígérkezik ez a régi-új előadás. A rendező ismét Kerényi Miklós Gábor lesz, a díszlettervező Székely László, a szereplők nemzetközi hírű énekesek.
