„Ez az egész olyan abszurd, mint egy Gambini jelenet.“
És valóban – mármint, ha egy évek óta egy láthatatlan, nem létező főnökkel működő cég abszurd lehet –, de ki is az a Gambini? Egy soha nem létezett huszadik századi színházi író, akinek életműve az abszurd csimborasszója, s akit istenít a valaha jobb napokat látott színész, Kristoffer, akit Ravn, egy számítógépes vállalkozás tulajdonosa bérel fel, hogy játssza el – eredetileg csupán egy alkalommal – az általa kitalált „Főfőnököt”. Sajnos, a mit sem sejtő beosztottak véletlenül találkoznak állítólagos főnökükkel, ami valóságos lavinát indít el, Kristoffer pedig kénytelen benne ragadni a szerepben… Eközben társadalmunk szinte minden jellegzetes típusa megjelenik a darabban – erősen görbe tükörben.

Two giants of Baroque music meet during the Advent season in a performance by the OPERA Orchestra and Chorus. Bach’s well-known Magnificat is performed in its original version, in E-flat major, supplemented with movements specifically tailored to the festive season by the composer himself.
A century ago, the world first encountered this remarkable opus, a work that soon became one of the cornerstones of twentieth-century musical innovation. Premiered in 1926, the singspiel is a milestone in Hungarian music history: its composer, Zoltán Kodály, fulfilled his aspiration to elevate Hungarian folk song of ancient origin to the same status as classical music, by virtue of its equivalent values, placing it on the stage of the nation’s Opera House.
