Hősünk nem egy születendő gyermek vagy édesanyja, hanem egy szülész-nőgyógyász: dr. Virágvári Imola. Gyász, szerelem, hit, hitetlenség, jó és rossz döntések keverednek életének eme kilenc drámai hónapjában. Minden döntésének meglesz a következménye, a darab végén pedig kiderül, hogy mit hoz a 42. hét: születést vagy halált.
