Csak lassan születnek meg azok a művek, amelyek a magyar színházművészet zenés világába is beemelik ezt a nemzet történelmében oly fontos szerephez jutott forradalmat. A musicalirodalom első 56-os alkotása a jubileum kapcsán most újra meghallgatható, és ezúttal végre színházi kulisszák között – épp az Erkel Színházban, amely a korábban Köztársaság nevű tér sarkán áll, és amely épület és közvetlen környezete emblematikus tanúja a szabadságharcnak. A mű zeneszerzője Mihály Tamás, az Omega basszusgitárosa, az Opera egykori főigazgatójának, a zeneszerző-karmester Mihály Andrásnak fia.

Two giants of Baroque music meet during the Advent season in a performance by the OPERA Orchestra and Chorus. Bach’s well-known Magnificat is performed in its original version, in E-flat major, supplemented with movements specifically tailored to the festive season by the composer himself.
There are evenings when our Opera House cannot perform because rehearsals are ongoing on stage until the evening. There are audience members who can only afford to hear their favourite pieces with a discount. And there are works that, although very popular, cannot be staged every season due to the congestion of productions.
