Stars' recitals with piano
OLGA PERETYATKO

Born in St Petersburg, Olga Peretyatko began her musical career in the children's choir of the Mariinsky Theatre, and later graduated as a conductor. Afterwards she continued her singer's studies in Berlin, Hamburg and Pesaro, so naturally her name was first brought to the attention of German and Italian audiences. Her international breakthrough came in 2007 when she was runner-up in Plácido Domingo’s Operalia competition, and since then, she has been a regular performer at La Scala in Milan, the Berlin State Opera, Covent Garden in London, the Metropolitan in New York and many other major opera houses. Her stunning voice and excellent stage presence have helped her to perform a wide variety of roles, and although she was known at the beginning of her career mainly for her lyric and coloratura soprano roles in operas by Mozart, Rossini, Meyerbeer and Bellini, in recent years she has also been featured in works by Verdi, Rimsky-Korsakov, and Richard Strauss. Peretyatko has already performed in Hungary, in 2019 she was accompanied by the OPERA Orchestra at Müpa Budapest. She will make her debut at the Opera House in the series "Stars’ recitals with piano", where the audience will get to know the world-famous soprano from a different perspective.
